Learn this super quick spatula test – for perfectly melted body wax and effortless application.

How to recognize the correct consistency of body wax?

The temperature and texture of the body wax are crucial for successful waxing. In this short video, we’ll show you an easy and effective way to check if the wax is ready to apply – using the spatula.

What you’ll need:

  • Wax heater with body wax
  • Spatula

How to check the consistency:

Step 1: Scoop a small amount of body wax with the spatula and lift it up.

Step 2: Observe how the body wax behaves:

If it takes about 2–3 seconds before it starts to fall – the consistency is perfect (like thick honey).

If it falls immediately and is too runny/transparent, it’s too hot – wait for it to cool slightly.

Tips from the WaXx Me team:

  • If you’re unsure, always do this test – it’s safer for both your skin and the results.
  • Perfect body wax should not drip, but “glide” slowly and evenly.

This small check ensures better application, less residue, and smoother skin.
