How to care for your skin after body waxing – what to do and what to avoid
Discover the most important post-waxing care tips – to prevent irritation, redness, and ingrown hairs.

The body waxing procedure doesn’t end with the last strip removal – post-wax skin care is just as important. Following a few simple rules can make a huge difference in how your skin looks and feels in the hours afterwards. In this video, we’ll show you what to do and what to avoid to keep your skin calm, smooth, and healthy.
What you’ll need:
- WaXx Post-Wax Oil
Step-by-step: What to do after waxing
- Apply post-wax oil/li>
It helps remove any remaining wax, but most importantly – it soothes the skin and reduces redness. Apply with gentle, massaging motions.
- Avoid direct sunlight
After waxing, your skin is sensitive and more prone to burns. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or artificial tanning for at least 24 hours.
- Keep skin dry for at least 2 hours
Shower, bath, or swimming – leave them for later. Water (especially hot water) can irritate the skin immediately after waxing.
- Do not apply creams, perfumes, or deodorants
They can clog pores and cause rashes or ingrown hairs. Let your skin “breathe” for at least a few hours.
Tip from the WaXx team:
- Wear loose, cotton clothing after the procedure – avoid tight and synthetic fabrics.
With proper post-wax care, you’ll enjoy beautiful, smooth skin for longer. Check out our other videos – WaXx is with you every step of the way.
