How to recognize the correct consistency of body wax?
Learn what perfectly melted body wax should look like – for easy application and effective hair removal without burns or dripping.

The temperature and consistency of the body wax are key to a good waxing session. If it’s too hot – you risk burns. If it’s too thick – it’s hard to apply. In this video, we’ll show you how to know when the body wax is just right – with a honey-like consistency, perfect for working.
What you’ll need:
- Wax heater
- Body wax WaXx
- Spatula
Step-by-step: How to recognize the correct consistency of body wax?
Step 1: Wait for the wax to melt completely after pouring it into the heater.
Step 2: Once it’s fully melted, lower the temperature. Wait a few minutes for it to start thickening slightly.
Step 3: Scoop a small amount with the spatula and lift it up. The correct consistency should be elastic and resemble thick honey.
Step 4: Watch how the wax behaves: if it takes around 2–3 seconds in the air before it “falls” from the spatula – it’s ready to apply.
Step 5: If it’s too runny, transparent, and falls immediately from the spatula – it means it’s too hot. Wait a bit longer or lower the temperature further.
Tips from the WaXx team:
- Always test the body wax on your hand before applying it.
- Remember – correct texture = better application and more effective hair removal.
